Santa Videos

Earlier this week Kaley the Elf left the kids a note telling them that Santa sent them a special surprise on my email.  I had made them a video from Santa. If you have kids and haven't done this you need to do it! You put in things that they need to work on and pictures of special events for Santa to talk about. Both kids loved it and were shocked that Santa knew so much!

Here are the videos that Santa sent my kids:

Goodbye Paci!

Drew finally said goodbye to his pacis. The last few months I have only been letting him have it at night and for his nap.  He was fine with this and would hand it to me when he woke up.  I think we could have been done a while ago but I was dragging my feet a little.  It was just so easy to hand him the paci and he knew that meant to walk in his room, get in bed and go to sleep.  I decided to use the same "paci fairy" method I came up with when we took Ryan's away.  We told him that we would find all of the pacis in the house and put them in a baggie.  Then he would put them in the mailbox for the paci fairy to come pick up and give to babies that needed them. We also told him he could go to Toys R Us and pick out whatever toy he wanted.

Heading to the mailbox with the pacis

 Goodbye Pacis!!!

He picked out a Cars Pillow Pet

And got to get ice cream

He didn't even ask for the paci and went right to sleep :)

It has been 3 days and he hasn't said a thing about it!  Next big boy challenge.....potty training!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas....

Ryan teaching Drew the correct way to set up the Nativity Scene
My attempt at a picture of them with their matching PJs

 Picture with Santa
Even though he looks miserable in the picture Drew actually loved Santa! While we were in line Drew yelled "Hi Santa" and Santa looked over at him and waved.  Drew's mouth dropped that he actually heard him.  Then as soon as we put him on his lap he did the typical serious Drew face.  Ryan of course loved the whole thing and talked to him forever about how she has been good and what they both wanted for Christmas.

Posing with Tripp

In attempt to keep them entertained inside we have been doing lots of Holiday crafts.

They were bouncing off the walls so I bundled them up and let them run around for a little bit
Drew being so cooperative with my picture taking

IPhone picture update

Just some random pictures from my phone this week....

 Playing with Reece

Ryan has been begging me to give her "homework" lately.  I found some workbooks in the dollar section of Target and she has been doing a few pages a day.  Hope this love for homework sticks around for a long time!
A few of the places Kayley has hid this week.

We met daddy after work to watch the  festival of lights parade.
They LOVED seeing all of the lights, horses and big trucks!
