Last Christmas

We are officially done with Christmas 2010 in the Kent house.  We drove to Kansas City last weekend to celebrate Christmas and Darin's mom and Step-dads birthdays.  The kids were wonderful in the car both ways!  They barely slept but were entertained by snacks and movies the whole way.  This made the 5 hour drive not so bad.  We all had a great time getting to see everyone.

Ryan was so excited to get to play with her cousins.   I think it is the first time she has really understood what a cousin was. They are all older so she had a blast following them around and playing all weekend.  I didn't take very many pictures because I was too busy chasing Drew around the whole time.  Their living room is a split level with a couple steps that Drew had a great time walking up and diving back down.  Needless to say we had to watch him very closely.

 The cousins:
Kaleigh, Ryan, Frankie,
Christopher, Drew and Lily

Ryan and Jessie at lunch.  She LOVED Jessie and followed her everywhere.  Jessie was so nice and played with her the whole time.

California

So we woke up at 4:30 AM to head to the airport Christmas morning to fly to California to spend the week with Darin's dad, step mom, twin sisters and boyfriend.  We all had a great time with family that we don't get to see as much as we would like.  We always have so much fun and as usual the weather was perfect the whole time.  Plus we got to go to Disneyland!

Lots of pictures from Disneyland.  The highlight for Ryan was getting to meet Minnie and getting to go in her house.  She also decided that she loved to go on rides.  She wasn't scared a bit and laughed and waved the whole time.  Drew hung out in the stroller most of the time and took pictures with Papa.  He was a trooper as usual!

Ryan summed up the day with "This was the best day of my life."  This statement made up for a day full of sugar, long lines, no naps, and the most crowded place I have ever seen!!  Sorry for the massive amounts of pictures :)

Christmas in Edmond

I am a little behind on my blogging because I have been catching up on laundry, finding places to put my kids piles of toys from Christmas and playing nurse to my sick family.  We had so much fun this year for Christmas because this was the first year Ryan has really been into everything.  She counted down on the advent calendar and made cookies and left carrots for Santa and the reindeer.  She couldn't wait to wake up and sprint to the tree to see what Santa had left them.  Drew on the other hand was as laid back about the whole thing as usual.  He did enjoy all of the wrapping paper, bows and boxes.

We celebrated at our house with my mom and her whole side of the family on the 23rd and my dad on the 24th then we woke up early Christmas morning and flew to California to celebrate with Darin's dad, step mom and sisters that evening.  We are celebrating with Darin's mom in Kansas City in a couple of weeks. So Santa came on the 24th to our house so the kids could actually enjoy it and not have to immediately go to the airport.
Ryan doing puzzles with my cousin Lauren who she thinks is the coolest person in the world. Lauren spent the night with us and Ryan did not leave her side the whole time.

 Presents!

Ryan's obsession right now is puzzles and loves to have everyone sit around and work the puzzles with her. And you wonder why she loves to be the center of attention with adults :)

California Christmas will be coming soon.  We did a ton and I have a lot of pictures to sort through first.
